Hospital-Acquired Infections Map Hospital-Acquired Infections Map Health
The point map shows the hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) reported for acute care hospitals. The initial view of the map displays the total hospital acquired infections for the state. To drill down to a smaller geographic area, click directly on the area of the map or use the plus sign to zoom in on the map. The map can be filtered by year or indicator name by changing these options under the Filters tab. PLEASE NOTE: Because of the complicated nature of the risk-adjustment methodology used to produce the HAI rates, the advice of a statistician is recommended before attempting to manipulate the data. Hospital-specific risk-adjusted rates cannot simply be combined. In addition, due to NYSDOH validation audits which may involve data from both the current and previous calendar year, a revised data file will be published the year after the original data file was released.
