Take me there!Public Health Law (Section 110) and New York State (NYS) Department of Health regulation (10 NYCRR 67-4) mandate that NYS public school districts and (BOCES) test drinking water for lead contamination and report the results to parents, the NYS Department of Health, NY State Education Department, and local health departments. The regulation required school districts and BOCES complete their sampling by the Fall of 2016, and test again in 2020 and at least every five years thereafter or at an earlier time as determined by the Commissioner of Health.
